The carbon offset will support projects including renewable energy schemes such as wind, solar or hydro power plants, carbon capture and afforestation programmes. These projects are verified and accredited by the world’s leading carbon registries such as The Gold Standard (WWF), Verified Carbon Standard (VCS) and The United Nations.

We will provide a certificate detailing the offset details, it's location, project and unique registry number.

Our UK planting partner is Forest Carbon and the locations are currently across the North East, borders and Scotland. The planting is undertaken in line with Woodland Carbon Code (WCC) standards. There is no Carbon offsetting associated with the planted tree, however a tree will absorb the carbon emissions from a funeral in less than 20 years.

In addition to the accredited carbon offset, more than 40% of proceeds are set aside for undertakers, funeral directors and crematoriums to decarbonise and transition to renewable energy and electric furnaces.
